There is something I've learnt. The "ism's" of the world, for example, socialism, capitalism, even marshism, were most likely all made in the same boardroom. There's no such thing as Socialism, where we can clearly see that power is being circulated among the same families, the same hands, literally the same boardrooms. These terms were made to make mere people argue and believe themselves to be "woke" and on the right patch to "excape the matrix" Meanwhile, the actual needle movers have both Capitalism, Socialism, and any other ism, dancing to their tunes.

That is what controlled opposition is by definition.

"Comfort does not determine reality" that’s the core of all of it, right? A blunt, necessary look at the difference between how we wish the world worked and how power actually flows. Thanks for sharing your Philosophy Thoughts. :)

Essentially, yes. People are far too accepting of comforting illusions over truth.

Interesting. I agree with all of this, simply because I've experienced it all in some form. There's a reason our elders always told us life wasn't fair. To think it is, is a good, morally upright way of thinking, but it just doesn't execute well in our current reality. We must learn the game and how to maneuver. Very good post 👍🏾

An interesting article that assumes it. Is correct because it disparage a counter argument as slander and inappropriate. The core concept that life isn't fair or equitable holds truth. The argument that follows has flaws. Consider history. Why did the religious reformation take hold. It certainly wasn't because Martin Luther had leverage. Why have Copernicus's theory of the cosmos become accepted. It wasn't because he had leverage in scientific community.

Why have. Women gained the vote it wasn't because they had leverage in politics. Why is slavery abolished in most Western society it wasn't because slaves had leverage. These are just a few examples to demonstrate that fairness and equality can be achieved. I could list many more but that's pedantic.

You confuse your starting statement about fairness and equity in life to be a certaintity to be a condition that can't be changed..that's is simply not the case.

Those with Leverage always have an advantage democracy has an influence in change.

Think of Empires with leverage where are they today. Because leverage corrupts and makes those in power lazy, they miss the signals about change that brings fairness and equity into play

If everything really worked only through raw power, society would have collapsed long ago. The fact that it hasn’t shows that fairness, trust, and rules are not just illusions. They may be imperfect, but they are what keep things from falling apart.

Even from an evolutionary perspective, humans are not built for pure domination. We evolved strong fairness instincts, a sense of reciprocity, and a willingness to punish cheaters, because groups with these traits outcompeted those without them. Power matters, but it only works over time when it is embedded in systems people see as at least somewhat fair. Ignore that, and you don’t get advantage, you get instability.

Some inequalities are safe for human beings to notice and even out with no unforeseeable consequences, but the temptation to attempt to enact a totalizing philosophy of equality ... not so much. We can win small victories for equality & fairness here and there as long as we understand that inequality and unfairness will always prevail in some form or other.
