Not sure what your aim with this peice was, but it missed the mark if you were NOT trying to tell people they can "win" if they just stop following a moral compass. I read it 3 times. It is basically saying these pedos aren't evil, they are just doing what's "necessary" from their frame of reference. Excuse me. Wtf?
You didn't read the essay. You read your current political moment and projected it onto the text. The essay describes how power operates, it does not endorse it. Those are different, and conflating them shows you cannot think you only repeat.
I understand your desire to defend your work. I am offering my perception of the piece. I tend to analyze words and do understand that clearly expressing a thought can be difficult. Read alongside your other work, its clear my perception was not your intention.
Yet, the perception remains as many of your word choices are not semantically null and allow the reader to superimpose their own bias onto the definition.
I'm not criticizing, I'm explaining why I cannot see the point you were trying to make through my own bias of word definitions. And if I read it 3 times to confirm it was saying what it seemed to be saying (which was not what you intended to say), how many others will also misunderstand?
I've been a writer for 51 years, I learned to show my work to other writers for feedback or put it away for a month or a year, in order to see how others perceive my words. Clarity is the goal. Please don't be offended.
"The concept of good and evil (...) is a comforting illusion, but it is not reality."
This perspective reflects the worldview often associated with Dark Triad oligarchies - power structures characterised by manipulation and exploitation. The prevalence of such beliefs within a group may signal a regressive evolutionary trajectory, particularly among social groups under threat of decline or extinction.
Harryb, don't link arms with me, dude. I find OP's work to be gifted. Pointing out a technical error in the writing isn't the same as insulting the author.
Mmmm, tendentious tosh first springs to mind. The sociopaths and destroyers of trust you apologise for are wielding power with incompetence and stupidity that's destabilising the world economy . The cheats and liars have always been with us. Seems your point of view is only one self delusion from the logic of the rapist .
You've claimed an endorsement into a description on how power operates. You argued against a claim not made. You closed with an analogy designed to trigger visceral moral recoil rather than reason. None of this engages the actual analysis of the piece. These are post hoc projections of your own discontent with modern politics.

Harry you are just mincing words. I'm not the only one finding your point of view by obnoxious, see above. A little too Ubermensch for my liking.
